• “H” = help (such as assistance from nurses or other doctors), “E” = evaluate (for episiotomy), “L” = legs (i.e. pull your legs toward your stomach, aka McRoberts maneuver), “P” = (suprapubic) pressure, “E” = enter (maneuvers, e.g., rotate the baby’s shoulders), “R” = remove (the posterior arm from the birth canal), “R” = roll (the patient)
