nasal embryonic LHRH factor(English)

• this novel protein was identified screening embryonic LHRH neurons at different migrational states. Experiments in vitro revealed that it functions in olfactory axon outgrowth and subsequently alters LHRH neuronal migration. Multiple CNS and PNS tissues express this gene. To characterize the specific regions in situ hybridization histochemistry was performed. Within the CNS, cells in the cortex, hippocampus, thalamus and olfactory regions express this gene pre- and postnatally; also denoted as NELF
