early onset schizophrenia(English)
- a severe, rare form of schizophrenia diagnosed before age 18 (typically before age 13 for childhood-onset/COS). It presents with symptoms similar to adult-onset (hallucinations, delusions, disorganized thinking) but often has a more insidious onset, lower IQ, and worse prognosis due to neurodevelopmental disruptions
