There are multiple definitions:

  1. intensity probability distribution(English)

  2. individual patient / participant data(English)

  3. invasive pneumococcal disease(English)

    • invasive type when bacteria are detected in normally sterile body fluids. Noninvasive forms of disease may become invasive (e.g. pneumonia when accompanied by bacteremia). Pneumococcal disease occurs more frequently in younger children and older adults. Preventive medicine, including vaccination, is essential for the promotion of healthy ageing. Influenza infections can make people more susceptible to pneumococcal infections. Even when effective antibiotic therapy is administered, mortality can be high amongst immunocompetent patients in intensive care
