relative binding affinity(English)
- used to calculate receptor binding affinity of nanoformulations. This is the portion of the drug that is required to bind to the site of action; for that it must have the highest affinity in contrast to the amount required to accommodate at the site of action for which it has lower affinity. As the ratio of binding increases, the higher the selectivity of the said drug. Given that this approach deals with receptor binding affinity of nanoparticles, it includes placing a receptor in a cuvette and labeling it with great affinity radioactive ligand as a drug
