tetrodotoxin(English)
- is an extremely potent poison (toxin) found mainly in the liver and sex organs (gonads) of some fish, such as puffer fish, globefish, and toadfish. It inhibits voltage-gated sodium channels in a highly potent and selective manner without effects on any other receptor and ion channel systems
