antiphospholipid antibody(English)
- rotein that may be present in the blood and may increase risk for blood clots or pregnancy loss. Associated with anti-phospholipid syndrome, a thrombotic disorder, but also frequently detected in immune thrombocytopenic purpura. In cases of SLE it may mediate cerebral venous thrombosis and cause hydrocephalus
