bone mineral apparent density(English)
- a calculated volumetric bone density measure (g/cm^3) used to correct for the effect of bone size on traditional areal bone mineral density (aBMD, (g/cm^2)) measured by DXA. It is especially critical in pediatrics, short stature, or chronic diseases, as small bones often appear falsely less dense on standard scans
