broadband ultrasound attenuation(English)
- a radiation-free, non-invasive quantitative ultrasound (QUS) technique used to assess bone mineral density and structural integrity, primarily to evaluate osteoporosis risk. It measures the frequency-dependent decrease in sound wave intensity as they pass through the heel bone (calcaneus), typically measured in decibels per Megahertz
