medial opening-wedge high tibial osteotomy(English)
- a surgical technique for treating medial knee osteoarthritis caused by varus malalignment. It involves making a cut into the proximal tibia, opening it on the medial side, and using a spacer/plate to correct alignment. This procedure shifts weight away from the damaged compartment, relieves pain, and maintains stability.
